Mumble is the protagonist in Happy Feet. And only the emperor penguin who can't singing. But he can do a "tap-dance" called "Happy Feet". Learn faster and easier when grown up. He also known as Gloria's mate and Erik's father.
In Happy Feet
At the graduation party, Mumble's friend Gloria sings for everyone, but when Mumble tries to join in, he gets chucked out. A leopard seal chases him far away to where the Adele Penguins live, where he befriends a misfit club call the Amigo's, who are led by Ramón. The Amigos can sing songs well, but they Lovestone's, instead of singing, which they fail at. Mumble encounters the humans, and the Amigos advise him to talk to Lovelace, a guru penguin. Lovelace has plastic rings from a six pack around his neck, which he claims the mystic beings gave to him. Mumble then returns home, but after embarrassing himself in front of Gloria leaves. Mumble tries to find the humans, but gets put in a zoo, where his tap dancing attracts world wide attention, when he is released into the wild, with the humans stopping over fishing. He then mates with Gloria, and in Happy Feet Two, has a son named Erik.
In Happy Feet 2
Mumble was married with Gloria and has a son named Erik. He first ask to Erik about dancing together. But Erik was falls and get embarased by the other chicks. Then Erik mistakes his father Mumble because make him join to dance. Erik with his two friends, Atticus and Bo following Ramon to Adelie-Land. Makes Mumble worried about all of them. Then Mumble goes to Adelie-Land to searching the kids. He finds them with Amigos and their leader Ramon. Mumble forced to bring the kids to home. Erik still has a penguin named Sven in his think and almost to forget his father. When in the way to go home, Mumble meets the elephant seal named Bryan and he doesn't want to back up for Mumble's way to go home. And Bryan accidentaly falls and make Mumble must saving him. After he saving his life, Mumble, Erik, Boadicia, and Atticus continued their way to Emperor-Land and things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Emperor-Land was trapped by huge ice walls and snow. Mumble have to make Bo brings many Adelies as she can. And the Adelies came with the leader, The Mighty Sven. Now Mumble and Sven wants to brings Erik's attention to themselves to prove on of them can saving the Emperor-Land, and Mumble did it by brings the elephant seal to topple the ice.
Appearance
Mumble in an under-developed emperor penguin, who (although achieving the appropriate height) still appears to look like a baby penguin. However, throughout the movies, he begins to molt. His feathers fall off in patches that make it so he appears to be wearing a bow-tie and tap dancing shoes. During the scene where he was chased by a leapoard seal, his tail was split in two, resembling coat tails. Towards the end of the film he was clearly going to look like a typical emperor penguin, but in the second film he shows no clear sign of looking like a normal penguin. His blue eyes are a result of being dropped as an egg, but were also modeled after his voice actor, Elijah Wood.
Relationships
With Gloria
Mumble is very close to a penguin named Gloria.He looks loved than others.Like swimming together, and dancing together in ending scene, with all singing I Wish.And also appeared a son in the middle, which means they have been married.And in the second movie, Happy Feet Two, Mumble and Gloria still in love as ever, in the first movie.Mumble and Gloria are the penguin who love each other than the others.
With Ramon
Mumble first met Ramon and follow him to the Adelie-Land.With The Amigos.Over time,they become good friends.And Mumble was assisted by Ramon,with singing for him to draw attention to Gloria.
With Norma Jean
Mumble with his parents,Norma Jean and Memphis,are very good.Norma Jean is the one who feel sorry to see him suffer,being outcast from Emperor-Land. She also say like being different than like being the others, as her son Mumble can not sing at all. She is known who trust with him, and believes he can find the fishes and come back to Emperor-Land. Mumble is so glad to see his mom like that, nice and can be trusted.
With Memphis
Mumble and his father are not to be closer after his father, Memphis, was embarrased by his son who being the only penguin who can't singing. Because of his "Happy Feet", he feels suffer and can't trying to begin trust with him. Mumble was not feel suffer after hear what his father say. He just trying to make his Happy Feet will make Memphis be happy. But i just ain't penguin, that was Memphis say.
With Noah the Elder
Mumble first time meet Noah, he feels hurt after expressed as a wasted. Noah trying to make Mumble being outcast from community beacuse he is the one that he think as a penguin without goodness. But after he heard Mumble is back again to help him dancing to humans, Noah forgetting his event that his do for Mumble and starting to dance. Then at Happy Feet 2, Noah say about dancing will being characteristic for the Emperors now, it's from Mumble too.
With Erik
Mumble trying to make his son, Erik dancing.But he can't do that.Because Erik do not like to dancing like his father, who had inherited his talent.But Mumble must do not give up to make Erik dancing, because Erik doesn't seen to singing like his mom,Gloria too.
