Graduation Day is a special day where emperor penguins graduate and go off to dive into the sea for the first time in the movie Happy Feet and in the video game Happy Feet: The Videogame.

When Noah the Elder begins to announce something by saying "You graduates going to sea for the first time...are to reap the benefits of their wise choice. These are lean and uncertain times. But by the power of the ancient penguin wisdoms...we, my brethren, will endure.", it means that the emperor penguins adults are going to graduate and go off to sea for the first time. They celebrate as they release the last of their down feathers and March out to the sea. Norma Jean complains that her son Mumble can't graduate but Memphis knows that he is not hurting anyone. Norma Jean decides that she and Mumble are gonna have a little graduation ceremony of their own. After everyone says "Excelsior!", all of the emperor penguins except their parents are leaving Emperor-Land for Graduation Day but Mumble begins to go after them when Memphis said to him "Remember, Stranger Danger.", He reminds his son to watch out for those leopard seals and killer whales. As Mumble is leaving Emperor-Land, an elder was marking Noah that this boy was always a bad egg. He's telling him that no good will come of this.
The Party[]
As the emperor penguins are going off to sea, Mumble asks them to wait up when a female emperor penguin ignored him as Mumble begins to slide trying to catch up with them, however he fails to slow down.
In the cliff of the ocean, the emperor penguins stand by waiting to dive into the sea before Mumble, whom was sliding and cutting off in line slides past as he falls to the water first. The other emperor penguins were then worried about predators being in the water until Mumble jumped out of the water saying "What you waiting for?" All of the emperor penguins then started jumping and diving to the sea for the first time as the song "Do It Again" by The Beach Boys was about to play.
During the swim, Mumble quickly runs into Gloria and follows her to the surface, only for them to slip into each other, before going back into the water. Once in the water, Mumble expresses his feelings towards Gloria, before they spot a school of fish. Mumble catches one, while Gloria doesn’t, so he tries to be kind and offers her his fish. She refuses until a Skua snatches it. Mumble chases after it to get it back. He does manage to get the fish back, but has a fall on the way down. Exhausted and unable to get up, Gloria comes over to him to see if he’s okay, Mumble tells Gloria to take the fish, so she does. She thanks Mumble, whom passes out.
At night in the Graduation Concert, Gloria sings "Somebody to Love" for everyone, but Mumble gets so caught up with the music, that he himself tries to sing. His out-of-tune singing, causes the other penguins to kick him out.
